Renewable energy theme lead for IISD’s Geneva-based Global Subsidies Initiative
Richard Bridle is the renewable energy theme lead for IISD’s Geneva-based Global Subsidies Initiative. He has produced numerous publications on energy subsidy analysis, efficient design of renewable energy support policies and the role of externalities the subsidy reform process. Recent research has examined the impact of fossil fuel subsides on renewable energy and the role of coal in the electricity mix of the future. Richard has a background in the renewable energy industry, having played a leading role in the development of a number of large scale renewable energy projects.
